New studio and gallery facilities for the Visual Arts as well as a new workshop and foyer for the existing theatre were added on the college campus in the town of Reading, Pennsylvania. Robert de Jager was part of the Santos Architect / Jacobs-Wyper Architects Philadelphia-based association that worked on the design and documentation of the project. The award of a USA National Endowment for the Arts grant allowed New York based artist Mary Miss to participate in an Artist/Architect collaboration for the project.
The position of the new facilities created a new entry to the campus with the artist/architect collaborative elements as focus.
